Description
I love this view from the Blue Ridge Parkway. The serene feeling you get looking down over this beautiful valley as the late afternoon sun warms the color of the distant rain is somehow comforting. The most difficult part of painting it was making myself put all the red in - it was there! And once I started I could see it everywhere and it was hard to stop lol

Bonnie, the Blue Ridge parkway is probably one of the most amazing panoramic vistas to behold!! In decades past, I regularly traveled from Connecticut to Ithaca NY which took me thru the Catskills and skirted the Adirondacks. Glorious in warm weather, treacherous in winter, the curving highways offered majesty, exhilaration, and dances with courage along the well- big-rig- truck-traveled, otherwise desolate stretches. Your BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY COLLECTION reminds me of the LARGE SCALE GRANDEUR! LF...gorgeous series.
