One windy day in autumn I went plein air painting with my friends on a hill top west of Salem. The sun was so warm we quickly shed our gloves and would have been warm if the wind hadn't been blowing so hard. At one point I looked down and realized my paper towels had unrolled almost completely and were flapping across the field! A friend close by was laughing at me wondering when I would notice :) That's the way it is when I paint- whether I'm outdoors or in my studio- I lose track of everything else...
