Description

My sweet Valentine gave me these flowers - twice! I was working on a big painting that I had to finish and didn't have time to paint them until a couple of weeks later. Many were still looking good but the hydrangea had died so he went and bought me another bunch! I'm blessed in so many ways and this painting will always remind me of that. You'll recognize the sugar bowl and patterned cloth (which used to be a skirt lol) from some of my other paintings.

Sweet Valentine was awarded first place in the contest "Your Best Floral Still Life" which ended on April 3rd, 2021! Thank you so much to everyone who voted for it!! I am truly honored.
